It was observed that taking NSAIDS triggers production of platelets which causes restriction of blood flow in the arteries. When you use these drugs for long times, you can damage the stomach lining or even face gastric inflammation.

Another type of painkillers that can be dangerous to your health is the opioids. These are strong painkillers and include Vicodin, oxycodone, morphine and tramadol. Most of the times, they are prescribed for chronic pain and back pain. Depiste their usage, they can pose some risks to your health. Addiction is one of the dangers of the opioids. An opioid user will become addicted to the same and will need more of it to relief the pain. In the long term, the patient will not relief the pain even after using the pain killer and the pain can even become worse.

In case you are taking opioids, it is advisable not to take them for more than a week. They can even cause respiratory failure and death. In case you have been taking them for so long , make sure that you seek medical help immediately. It is even better to try other forms of relief such as exercise and physiotherapy.
